Accessible Parking Placards
Status: Active
On December 15, 2005 the Advanced Practice Nurse Council of Delaware (DELAPN) received a letter confirming support from The State Council for Persons with Disabilities (SCPD) to develop legislation which would allow Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) to prescribe accessible parking placards and/or plates for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Over the next few months DELAPN will work closely with the SCPD and The Honorable Bethany Hall-Long to develop such legislation in an effort to pass this into law in our state. DELAPN will keep you informed of our progress. This is an exciting and necessary step in the continuing care of our patient care population.
