Get Published

The DNA Reporter welcomes unsolicited manuscripts by DNA members. Articles are submitted for the exclusive use of The DNA Reporter. All submitted articles must be original, not having been published before, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions will be acknowledged by e-mail or a self-addressed stamped envelope provided by the author. All articles require a cover letter requesting consideration for publication.

Each article should be prefaced with the title, author(s) names, educational degrees, certification or other licenses, current position, and how the position or personal experiences relate to the topic of the article. Include affiliations. Manuscripts should not exceed five (5) typewritten pages and include APA format. Also include the author’s mailing address, telephone number where messages may be left, and fax number. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any copyrighted material; in the case of an institution, permission must be obtained from the administrator in writing before publication. All articles will be peer-reviewed and edited as necessary for content, style, clarity, grammar and spelling. While student submissions are greatly sought and appreciated, no articles will be accepted for the sole purpose of fulfilling any course requirements. It is the policy of DNA Reporter not to provide monetary compensation for articles.

National Publications

American Nurse Today

The ANA periodical American Nurse Today is a no cost benefit for members. Non-members and institutions have the opportunity to buy subscriptions. To read the current ANA articles published in American Nurse Today online, you must log-on as a DNA/ANA member. Past issues are available to all NursingWorld site visitors. As of September 2006, ANA members no longer receive the American Journal of Nursing, unless they subscribe to the magazine directly.

This is the official publication of the American Nurses Association (ANA). To read the current edition and "Web Extras" online, you must log-on as an DNA/ANA member. Past issues are available to all NursingWorld site visitors.

Online Journal of Issues in Nursing

The Online Journal of Issues in Nursing is a peer-reviewed publication that provides a forum for discussion of the issues inherent in current topics of interest to nurses and other health care professionals. The intent of this journal is to present different views on issues that affect nursing research, education, and practice, thus enabling readers to understand the full complexity of a topic. The interactive format of the journal encourages a dynamic dialogue resulting in a comprehensive discussion of the topic, thereby building up the body of nursing knowledge and suggesting policy implications that enhance the health of the public.
