EMPLOYEE HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER
St. Francis Hospital of Wilmington, DE is currently seeking a full-time nurse practitioner to manage our Employee Health Department. This position will work in collaboration with the Vice President of Human Resources and will also provide support to the Department of Family Practice. This individual will be responsible for the daily operations of the Employee Health Department by applying the nursing process in dealing with work related illnesses and injuries, performing pre-employment physicals, providing staff education, conducting screening and prevention programs for all employees, as well as maintaining and following up on all worker's compensation claims. Also requires some supervision of a part-time clerk as well as a part-time and casual RN staff.
The ideal candidate must possess at least one year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the employee health setting. Must also be licensed to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of DE or be willing to acquire the appropriate license to practice.

Advanced Practice Nurse- Psychiatry
Established psychiatry group looking for an Advanced Practice Nurse to provide clinical leadership on a long-term inpatient psychiatric unit in New Castle County. Medical Director is a board certified psychiatrist with fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry. Position is part-time with generous reimbursement.
APN's treatment focus will primarily involve management of psychotropic medications although formulating behavioral approaches with treatment team will also be expected. Patients have both psychiatric and medical illness and all will be seen by staff internist.
Interested individuals should have prescriptive capacity as well as familiarity with commonly used psychotropic medication and diagnoses. Experience in psychiatric hospital care setting helpful but not required. Willing to train motivated applicants.
This position represents an opportunity to fully utilize APN training and prescriptive rights with the regular support of experienced supervising psychiatrist medical director. Medical director has extensive experience working alongside APN's .

QUALIFICATIONS:
*Current Delaware license as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife, with National certification preferred.
*Requires excellent verbal and written communication, listening and interpersonal relationship skills
*Ability to multi-task and to work effectively under pressure due to conflicting demands
*Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
*Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment, and build productive relationships

Responsibilities will include providing care, education, consultation, and support to clients (individuals, families, and groups), emphasizing the promotion of health and the prevention of disease, economically and effectively. The APN will plan and implement interventions in collaboration with other members of health care team, and evaluates patient responses. In addition to serving as a clinical expert to hospital staff, participating in local and regional professional and community education, and participating in cardiovascular research, this position also supervises the Christiana Care Heart Failure Telemonitoring program, and functions as a liaison to facilitate inpatient to outpatient Heart Failure management.
To be considered, candidates must possess a Master's degree in Nursing and APN licensure in the State of Delaware. ACLS certification is required. At least one year as an APN. Experience with heart failure patients is preferred.
