Nominate an Extraordinary Delaware Nurse Today!

All Delaware Nurses, including students, LPNs, RNs and APRNs are eligible to become a DAISY honoree. It just takes one nomination!

Nurses provide exceptional care in all health and community settings: nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home care agencies, hospices, schools, prisons, medical offices, public health, state facilities, medical aid units... and many more! 

With over 27,000+ nurses in Delaware, we are sure you know more than one nurse that has impacted your or your loved one's life in an extraordinary way. Take a few moments to express your gratitude with a meaningful nomination for a DAISY award.

The Delaware DAISY Gala

The annual gala is a gathering and celebration of the state's extraordinary nurses. DNA partners with local businesses and employers to provide an evening of gratitude and community.


 How It Works

  1. Identify your nurse/s, their employer, and the category you intend to nominate in.
  2. Submit your meaningful nomination using the link above. Be sure to include details about how the nurse/s impacted you or your loved one's life.
  3. DNA's Committee on Recognition reviews nominations monthly and selects those that will be awarded.
  4. DNA contacts the employer using the information provided by you and arranges for presentation of the award, either at the nurse's work or during our annual Delaware DAISY Gala.

 For Delaware Employers

We want to support you in the recognition of your extraordinary nurses, no strings attached! We are passionate about recognizing nurses in all settings because we know that it benefits all involved.

DNA can offer Delaware employers free print and online materials to help promote The DAISY Award to those individuals served by your nurses. Email contactdna@denurses.org to request free marketing materials and access to the online folder where you can download and print your own materials. We have everything: postcards, rack cards, business cards, website banners, wall posters, and more! 

We encourage all Delaware employers to partner directly with The DAISY Foundation to recognize even more extraordinary nurses.
