State Primary Election - Tuesday, September 10

Only Delaware voters registered with the Democratic or Republican parties may vote in their party's primary election.

Voter Registration Deadlines for State Primary Elections

  • Saturday, August 17 - deadline for new voters to register to vote in order to vote in the State Primary Election.
Voting Options
  • Absentee & Early Voting
    • Nurses, if you are working 12hr dayshift on Sept. 10, you are eligible for absentee or early voting.
    • There are many more legal reasons to request an absentee ballot (vacation, illness, caregiving, etc.).
    • Primary Election Early Voting Dates & Times
      • August 28 - August 31 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
      • September 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
      • September 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
      • Early voting sites: https://de.gov/votinglocations
  • Election Day Voting
    • September 10 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • At your assigned polling place. Find your assigned polling place at https://ivote.de.gov

General Election - Tuesday, November 5

  • Saturday, October 12 - deadline for new voters to register to vote in order to vote in the General Election.

    • November 5 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
